Soprano, Nicole Butler currently resides in Washington, DC and has performed with the Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center, the Washington Opera Society, Opera Camerata of Washington DC, Opera NoVa and DiCapo Opera Theater in New York City. As a Dramatic Coloratura, some of her notable operatic roles include "Donna Anna" in Mozart's Don Giovanni, "Clorinda" in Rossini's La Cenerentola, "Clara" in Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, “Susanna” in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, "Giannetta" in Donizetti's L'elisir D'amore, “Adriana” in Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur, “Susannah” in Floyd’s Susannah and “Musetta” in Puccini’s La Boheme.
Nicole is not the typical opera singer. She holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the University of Maryland and led a progressive career as Senior Vice President in the Banking and Finance industry. Currently, as Managing Partner and Realtor, Nicolemanages her own global Real Estate firm, NGage Properties Group, headquartered in Capitol Hill and co-owns a residential development firm, Black Pharaoh Development, with her husband.
Her passion for the opera was discovered when she moved to New York City where she completed coursework at Juilliard School which provided her the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, New York City Theatre withthe New York City Ballet, the Lincoln Center and at countless concert halls throughout the U.S.
Mrs. Butler has lived in and performed across multiple regions of Italy with the International Lyric Academy of Rome. She has also performed in various countries across the continent of Africa. Her oratorio experience includes countless performances of Handel’s Messiah, Dubois’ The Seven Last Words of Christ, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Orff’s Carmina Burana, and Mozart’s, Verdi’s and Brahm’s Requiems.
